Building a Well-being Fortress: SIF Teaches Healthy Habits for Life

Kicking off March 15th, 2024, across various locations, the camp will teach campers essential skills to take care of their physical and mental health.

The Body & Mind Connection

Our physical and mental health are intricately connected. Taking care of one directly impacts the other. This summer, Synergy India Foundation will go beyond traditional activities, focusing on a holistic approach to well-being.

Building Blocks of Health

The experienced trainers, Lavanya, Shirley, Tejaswini, Fatima, Pravalika, Pavitra, Raghuvaram, and Murthy, understand the importance of healthy habits. They’ll introduce campers to three essential pillars of well-being:
  • Nourishing with Healthy Eating: Campers will learn the importance of healthy eating habits through interactive workshops and fun cooking activities. They’ll discover delicious and nutritious options that fuel their bodies and minds.
  • Moving with Regular Exercise: Physical activity is a powerful tool for stress reduction and overall well-being. The camp will offer a variety of engaging activities, from team sports and outdoor adventures to fun fitness routines. Campers will learn to find activities they enjoy, promoting lifelong movement.
  • Resting with Enough Sleep: Getting enough sleep is crucial for both physical and mental health. Campers will explore healthy sleep habits, like establishing a regular sleep schedule and creating a relaxing bedtime routine.

Beyond the Lessons

The entire camp environment will be designed to promote healthy choices. Nutritious meals, scheduled breaks for movement, and a focus on mindfulness will create a foundation for positive well-being habits.
