Road accidents are the leading cause of death among people aged 15-45 years worldwide. India maintains the dubious distinction of being the world’s number one with more than 200,000 deaths in road accidents yearly, which is truly alarming. 

SIF acknowledges the alarming gravity of this situation and has been working towards reducing road accidents. SIF joined hands with the traffic police of Telangana and launched awareness campaigns on a large to promote road safety and responsibility through messages that motivate people to follow traffic rules and wear seat belts and helmets.

We developed IEC materials, including posters, banners, sign boards, placards, and short skits on road safety. We reached out to thousands of people across Telangana, particularly in urban areas, and our team stood up in the traffic signal junction areas holding placards and posters in a bid to sensitize a large number of motorists about the need to abide by traffic rules.
