Shrinika’s Treatment – Fight Thalassemia

Dear valued friends and community members,

We are reaching out to ask for your help for a young girl named Shrinika who has been suffering from Thalassemia since she was just 6 months old. Thalassemia is a disease where the body does not produce enough red blood cells, and as a result, Shrinika has had to undergo regular blood transfusions for survival.

Despite her parents’ best efforts, the cost of her monthly treatment has become too much for them to bear. Last year, doctors at Rainbow Hospitals recommended a Haplo Bone Marrow Transplantation as the best course of treatment, but the expense was prohibitive.

After 14 months of treatments, Shrinika’s ferritin levels were only brought down to 3500. However, a glimmer of hope came when a 9/10 matched unrelated donor was found through the Datri Organization. The doctor at Apollo Hospitals in New Delhi has advised that this is the best course of treatment for Shrinika to have a permanent cure from Thalassemia, but the cost of the Bone Marrow Transplantation is 46.50 Lakhs.

As her parents, Srinivas Rao and his wife, are not financially sound to bear this burden. They are reaching out to the community for help. Any contribution, no matter how small, can make a difference in Shrinika’s life.
